Shifman's "Reviens" collection combines the craftsmanship of yesteryear with modern-day technology and quality control. Each "Reviens" mattress is two-sided and hand-tufted, no different than a Shifman mattress from 100 years ago. And the primary upholstery material is still cotton felt, produced by Shifman's 100 year-old garneting machine. But interjected with all of this old-world charm are space-age materials such as "visco-elastic memory foam" and latex. the combination of the old and new-world create a bedding collection with superior comfort and support.
The Shifman "St. Tropez" is a firmer feeling pillowtop mattress. The high levels of comfort and support are achieved through the usage of some of the world's finest materials. Layers of cotton, wool, and memory foam are used and sandwich 368 coils set in a Hi-Profile double offset innerspring unit. The addition of a fully upholstered 8-way hand-tied boxspring and the double sided mattress construction allows this bed to be one of the most durable made today.
